Is Sri Lanka ready for SharePoint??

Just felt like getting you guys opinion on whether Sri Lanka is ready for SharePoint in mass?? I believe we Lankans are more techy than most of the first world countries, but are organisations ready for SharePoint or

Machan most of the people here does not know what SharePoint is....the only thing i know about it is that its a Microsoft technology.... so why dont you give a brief introduction to all of us the "non-techies" what SharePoint is and we could see it better

most of the Cooperate companies are aware about it. SMB market give less attention to it but once they identified it they also want it. But as a thumb rule we Sri Lanka prefers to follows and have it rather than idetify the true value of it. (no offence I'm also Sri Lankan)
but the good new is most fo the companies are into SharePoint Portal usage and looking into intergration their existing systems to it. Don't worry when we get most companies get into Active Directory enviroment and as techies we demostrate the product we can assure they will prefer it.

Very true bro, i believe that is what i have been hearing from most of the guys out there too, me and my company are doing a research in order to penetrate into the Sri Lankan Market for Microsoft Certified PROFESSIONAL training, with 4 MVP's, and we are currently in negotiation with the local partners out there.

Yaa.. Sri Lankan New Programmers have to ready for Sharepoint. Its the recent treands in most of private sector companies as well as banking sector.
Keep in touch with sharepoint. That will help you to develop your career in future. It has lots of enhancements for document sharing, Profiling, file managing, etc.
At least have the basic ideas about sharepoint, what it can do and what are the features of it..
