Machan just need to add a small comment. What you are saying is not right at with current technology stack. Assume you might think, I'll develop web application using Java. Then you have to learn Java language, JSP, Servlets, and as you know, we might go with MVC pattern. Then there is no point to develop MVC from scratch with routing etc. So this will lead to learn Spring etc. So can we stop now. No. We have to know how to deploy this. And what would be the best pattern for this kind of framework and there is lot machan.

And when come to C# (Which I'm familiar), and if want to use MVC pattern , then we can use already developed MVC framework. When come to Rest, we can use Web API. And we have to consider about IOC containers and how to interact with DB if needed which will lead to another libraries. And how to host. IIS or if selected .net core then it has own way (Yes we can utilize IIS. But bit different).

So don't misunderstand this. It's not just about learning new languages. But be familiar with related libraries/ frameworks, standards, best patterns also.

This isn't to discourage to learn new language. To survive on this industry, we have to be update. But don't underestimate. And when come to 6 years C# experience it doesn't mean to know only C#. But all related stuff.

If you are a programmer or developer you should be up with all latest that are available else you cannot unless you want to work in one place with one lang. So after some age you need to move up from programmer or developer to Managerial or analyst level. If you are going 2 be for 6yrs with 1 lang then you will not be able to progress.
