That is because they prefer to only pay for the computer. Because they always know that paying for the OS is stupid when cracked versions are available for download. Otherwise they will divide the price they are gonna pay for the computer and buy the OS along with them. We should consider the OS as a part of the computer. මම බොරුවට කියන්නේ නැ Ubuntu මැක්සා කියලා. කවුරුත් දන්නවා ඉතින් ලේසියෙන් වැඩක් කරගන්න නම් ඉතින් windows තමා. නමුත් ඒකෙන් කියන්නේ නැ Ubuntu වල වැඩ අමාරුයි කියලා. ඒකත් අමාරු නැහැ. මම අවුරුදු දෙක තුනක් පාවිච්චි කරල තියෙනව Ubuntu

ගොඩක් අය කියන්නේ "මම නම් උබන්ටු". "උබන්ටු තමා මැක්සා" . "Windows කියන්නේ ලදරු OS එකක්" " OS එකක් කියන්නේ මොකද්ද කියල බලාගන්න උබන්ටු දාල බලන්න" කියල බොරුවට ගෙදර windows තමා දුවන්නේ.

ඕන කරන software එකක් එහෙම හොයන්න ගිය වෙලාවට ඉතින් ගොඩක් වෙලාවට ubuntu වලට බඩු අඩුයි. ඒක තමා ඇත්ත.

නමුත් දැන් ටික ටික Ubuntu වලට කස්ටිය හැරෙනවා. එතකොට software ගොඩක් තියෙයි

අපි බලන්න ඕන අපේ වැඩේ ලේසියෙන් කරගන්න පුලුවන් මොකෙන්ද කියල මිසක් "මම ලිනක්ස්/උබන්ටු" කියලා පොර වෙන්න නෙවේ

Chinese government encourages their people to use their national OS which is based by ubuntu... the third world countries like us should stop flowing our money to the multi billion companies like microsoft .. at least even our government companies

my knowledge about windows is minimal specially when it comes to those small details. cos I hardly get to use windows these days due to the nature of my work. But I'm really curios to know. What is it that you could not do on Windows?

i didnt say anything abt not being able to do on windows or its a bad os. of course there's always a way around everything. i said compared to linux, windows have very basic features if you are into development and stuff, its so much easier than windows when u learn it.

nope. I don't have a genuine copy. I event don't have windows installed on my computer. I cannot remember the last time I touched windows and the latest version is driving me nuts!

But still, I'm against some of the comments posted here. Thats why I argued.
