Keras, Tensorflow experience is what most companies looking for. For DA's, you need SQL experience.

As for the qualifications, i knew someone who was asked to list down basic requirements for them to hire a ml engineer. And when that person was listing these down , i was there. That’s how i know of this.
I am currently doing BSc Civil Engineering Degree from University of Peradeniya. In these days i've been creating my portofolio with ML related projects. If I am being interviewed do I have to be rejected because that I have no degree related to CS?

If you have excellent ml related knowledge, I don’t think that you would be rejected for not having a cs degree since they usually ask degree in cs , mathematics or other related field/area.

Every job list degree on the description but reality is different.
I know Indians who has degrees but can't do anything in practice.
I am sure there are companies in Sri Lanka who has similar attitude.
Stackoverflow survey counted 50% percent responders as self taught and it's big percentage that's hard ignore.

Let me tell you one thing, COVID is more intelligent than any "AI" out there. It's mutations getting stronger and stronger.
You have to be really talented as well as ready to compete with extremely passionate devs on the job market. These jobs are not given to the highest qualified ones but for the talent.
I was doing work related to neural networks and in few passion projects but always got beaten on the job market. Also that was my most stressful time of life. Hardly even visited elakiri or social media. So get your game up and do the homework. You might pull it off.
