සිරි ලංකාව.ලංකාවේ සුන්දරත්වය අපිට දැනෙන්නේ රටින් එළියට ගියාම තමා.. මාස 6කට පස්සේ ආපහු ලංකාවට ආව වෙලේ කාලයක් තිස්සේ හිතේ තිබ්බ ආසාවක් ඉෂ්ට සිද්ද කර ගන්න පුලුවන් උනා..අපි මේ තැන ගැන කිව්වේ මගේ හිතවත් මයිකල් දේවාසිරි අයිය.මල්ලි මෙන්න මෙහෙම තැනක් තියනවා ගිහින් බලපන් කියලා
We humans feel the value of something when we don’t have it in out vicinity anymore.just like that, We all feel the beauty of Sri Lanka when we go out of the country.once I came back after spending 6 hectic months in “almost” a desert like place, it was a dream come true to visit a place like this.. We vote our thankfulness to Michel Dewasiri brother for telling us about this hidden paradise
නිධාන කතාව මේකයි/Back story behind the journey
අපේ ට්රිප් එක ගියේ 5 වෙනිදා.4 වෙනිදා රාත්රියේ මගේ අයියාගේ විවාහ මංගල උත්සවය.ඒකට ආපු අපේ පිරිස ඔන්න රෑ 10ට විතර පිටත් උනා.මං ගෙදර එද්දි පාන්දර1.30.අනේ පොඩි නින්දක් දාන්න 2ට විතර හැදුවත් 2.30 වෙද්දි මෙන්න නදියා "අඩෝ නැගිටපන්, 3 වෙද්දි ඔතන , ලෑස්ති වෙලා ඉදපන්" මදැයි නිදා ගත්ත.කිව්ව වගේම මෙන්න මු ආව ගානට 3 වෙද්දි මාව ගන්න.ඊට පස්සේ තමා දැනගත්තේ මට විතරක් නෙවේ අනිත් හැමෝටමත් නිදාගන්න දීල නැතිබව.
Our trip was on 5th.4th night was my loving brother’s wedding ceremony.And the members partied till around 10 o clock.It was 1.30 when I reached home.I went to bed at 2.00 when Nadiya thought to call me at 2.30 to say
“Wake up bugger.enough sleeping.!!! I’ll be there at 3, make sure you are ready”
Oh well.!! That was the end of my so called “half an hour sleep” and just like he said he was there at my door at 3!!!! It was only afterwards I came to know that he has not let anyone else sleep either.!!!

ලංකාව කියන්නේ හරි පුදුම ලස්සන තැනක්, අපි ඇස නොගැටුන තැන් මේ පුංචි දූපතේ ඕන තරම් තියනවා.සමහර තැන් දැක්කම හිතෙනවා ඇත්තටම මේ අපේ ලංකවද කියලත්.
මන්දාරම් නුවර,මන්දාරම් වැසුන මිහිපිට තියන තවත් ලස්සන පුංචි ගමක්, පිදුරුතලාගලට යාබදව තියන මේ ගම්මානය හරිම නිස්කලංකයි.පිරිසිදුයි.
මේ සැරේ අපේ ගමන මන්දාරම් නුවරයි.
Sri Lanka is a wondrous and gorgeous place where it hides countless number of places which we have never even seen or imagined to be existing,sometimes it holds us in amazement wondering whether this is actually our country.
Mandaram Nuwara,a tiny village hidden well under the never ending mist,surrounded by huge mountains at the bottom of the majestic Piduruthalagala is purely a place of calmness and cleanness.
And this is our journey to the misty mountains.

"Talking about the road. Well, it was still under construction hence the road was a disaster
First of all I have to stress on taking a good vehicle to avoid being stuck in the middle of nowhere. The vehicle needs a serious cooling system because if it’s not, the uphill climb to Mandaram Nuwara will for sure make boiling issues. .. Also should keep in mind that there is hardly place to pull over if another vehicle comes from the opposite side, so there driving skills must be sharp and keen.."

අපිට මංදාරම් නුවරට හැරෙන්න තිබ්බේ පදියපැලැල්ල පොඩි ටවුන් එකට කලින්.. ඒ මන්දාරම් නුවර කන්න කඩයක් නැති නිසා..
We all were damn hungry.It was high time to gulp something in. Bolta was so exhausted that he could not even maintain his nonstop commentating. It was before the Padiyapalalla town where we had to take the turn to Mandaram Nuwara..Bcoz we were advised by the villages that there are no place to eat in Mandaram Nuwara, we went down to the town for food

පදියපැලැල්ලෙන් කාපු අපි මංදාරම් නුවරට එන්න පිටත් උනා.. පාර නම් පටුයි..ඒ වුනාට වටේ ලස්සනයි..
Full stomach(cleared the whole showcase of food in the shop) we departed from Padiyapalalla to Mandaram Nuwara.Road is Narrow.But breath taking view…
ගමේ නම මන්දාරම් නුවර උනේ මං හිටතන්නේ මේ විදිහට හැම තිස්සේම මන්දාරම පාත් වෙලා තියන නිස වෙන්න ඇති
The never ending mist must be the reason why this village was named “Mandaram (Shadowy) Nuwara (Village/Town)
හිමීට හිමීට අපි ගමට ලං උනා..
මන්දාරම් නුවර... ඇත්තම වෙන තැන් වල වගේ බැහැල කරල අවිදින්න තියන තැනක් නෙවේ මේක... ලංකාවේ තියන තවත් පුංචි ලස්සන ගමක් බලා ගැනීම තමා අපේ අරමුණ උනේ.. හැමදාම වාහන සද්දෙයි දුමයි එක්ක ඉන්න අපිට මේගේ නිස්කලන්ක ගමක් දැක්කම පුදුම ආසාවක් සතුටක් දැනෙන්නේ
Mandaram Nuwara… there was no place to go by walk in this village…but our only desire was to just see another small beautiful village in sri lanka.. being in busy grey towns this experience was just perfect to bring peace of mind

මන්දරම් නුවර ගමන අවසන් කරපු අපි දවල් කෑමට ආවේ නුවර එළියට. එතනින් තමා අපේ මෙදා සැරේ කතාව අවසන් වෙන්නේ..
පොඩිම එවුන් දෙන්නා
සැදෑ කලුවරත් වැටෙනව එක්කම නුවර එලියේ සීතල සුලගත් එක්ක අපේ ගමන් මහන්සිය නිවාගෙන නැවතත් ගෙවල් බලා එන්න ගමන ආරම්භ කලේ සුන්දර මතක රැසක් සමග කාලයක් යා යුතුය කියන තැනක් බලා ගත්ත සතුටත් එක්කමයි, ගමන යද්දි වගේම ආපසු එද්දිත් රසබර කතා රැසක් සමග රසබර මතකයන් රැසක් එකතු කරගත්තේ මොන දේ උනත් උලත් එකයි පිලත් එකයි මොන දේ උනත් එකට ඉන්නවා කියන යදම් වැල් වලටත් වඩා ශක්තිමත් මිතුදමත් තවත් අලුත් කරමිනුයි..
ඇත්තමට මේක අපි නම් කරේ පවුලේ චාරිකාව කියලයි.. මොකද අපි හැමෝම යාලුවොන්ටත් වඩා පවුලේ උදවිය වගේ.. හැමෝටම හැමෝම වටිනවා., වාහනේ ඉඩ මදි උනත්, අවම පහසුකම් යටතේ සහ නොනිදා මේ ගමනට ගිය හැමෝටමත් මේ සමගම ස්තූති වන්ත වෙන ගමින් ආයෙත් සැරයක් හැකි ඉක්මනින් තවත් සුන්දර චාරිකාව මතක සටහන් අරගෙන එන්න පොරොන්දු වෙන ගමන් අදට නවතිනවා..
