Dont change your surname just because you got married.
Unless you are low cast and wants to take the high cast surname of the husband. (I am not assuming but thats a massive reason why many woman do that)
Other than that, if you really do want to change.
Start changing your ID ... for the normal process, you have to go meet the Gramasevaka and he /she will instruct you on how to get it done
after that, one by one, you have to start with the final being the passport, where you have to produce your ID, Driving Licence, Changed name on the birth certificate (if applicable) government documents that proves you changed and they issue you a NEW passport.
just dont change it... doesnt worth the hassle
