That's not true dude. You may experience sometimes it shows even 250KBps. Thats something wrong with IDM speed calculation.

Use a little tool like Bandwidth monitor. Then you'll notice even IDM shows 86KBps or wotever, Bandwidth monitor shows 55.9KBps. That's the maximum of SLT 512Kbps connection.
