I hope the thread owner would give you a better answer. But to answer your question as per my knowledge,

    01. There are two visa categories 189 and 190. (see whether you are eligible to apply under one of those and then follow the procedure. That's how you apply for PR

    02. For visa category 190 you need to have a state sponsorship which'll give you 05 extra points and for the visa sub class 475 the state/teritory would give you 10 points. (but mind you visa sub class 475 is not a PR but a temporary visa for 4 years and after that you can apply for a PR)

In fact the answers are there in the begging of the thread if you closely read all the posts.

thanks for the comment machan. appreciate it. I'll read the thread carefully again.

Most of the time to get 60 points, you need 7. But if we consider 190 subclass, where you get 5 points from state sponsorship, you might only need overall 6.5 points for IELTS. It depends on the ILETS requirement of different states. Eg. For western australia sponsorship you need 6.5.

189 and 190 are PR. TR is different subclass. 475 and 485 belong to this temporary residence category, I think

For opportunities please check following links

I checked the demand list, there are no jobs for HR, BM, Marketing, etc :(

    machan what's your profession?

    The OZ govt website says,
"The below occupation has not yet reached its ceiling level, however 80% or more of the ceiling level has been reached:

    Telecommunications Engineering Professionals"

    So you better hurry

    http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/
Go to "reports" and then "show all"

my profession is "Technical Support engineer"

But my degree is electronic and electrical field.
so can i find a job in electrical filed?

If the technical support engineer profession is in the demand list, yes you can migrate. Finding a job is your problem once you migrate. But for you to get PR, your profession must be in the demand list.

If you wanna find out more on the job availability try looking in

macho, I have BSc Eng(eletronic & electrical) and i have one year experience in telecom field. can i find a good job from there.

in these days i am preparing for IELTS.

You need at least 3 years experience for 189. There will be no slots for telecom engineers till next year. However do IELTS and you can try for other option like sponsorship to get more points

machan, Im in software engineering/ project management field and my girl is a teacher, now a days me and my girl doing IELTS and we are hoping to migrate to Ausi after marriage.I just need to know 2 things.

    1. what is the best method for applying PR?
    2. do we need sponsors like student visa process?

thanks for starting such a valuable thread machan. ;)

If you are a software engineer, it is easy to get PR. skill assessment through ACS is easy. Not like engineers australia. Your occupation is depend on your experience. Even you have degree in electronic but your experience is in telecom field, you will assess as Telecom engineer.

no slots for electronic engineers and telecom almost full

However dependents over 16 years need to prove required english ability. That is overall 4.5

If your main applicant is wife, a teacher, she need more IELTS results than you ( over 7.5 I think) to get positive assessment. Highest IELTS results required for teachers and doctors

Nice Post Macho... plz give some more details plz....

What are the information you need more....

    simply..

Calculate your points, If less than 60 try to find ways to increase it

may be higher IELTS result, more experience or sponsorship

    then do IELTS

get skill assessment done after receiving enough IELTS result for that

    Fill the EOI, submit it,

    wait for invitation

    lodge visa

    so simple :D:D:D:D:D

It is very hard question. one of my friends is still looking for a job since January 2013... but it depends on your luck and capability to adapt aussi way.

    main barrier is language

for sure our guys are talented and capable.. but they have barriers. However almost all find their path soon. may not your dream but suitable one.

    there are opportunities

    but need right combination
