This post is for people who has Australian dream

    Skilled Migration - Australia

I am going to talk about skilled migration process in this post. Subclass 189 (and 190, as most of the process is similar to 189) Visa.

Two types of PRs that will be talked about:

    189: Skilled Independent Visa

    190: Skilled Nominated Visa

    189: Skilled Independent Visa

This is Permanent Resident Visa that is valid for 5 years and you can live and work in any part of Australia.

    190: Skilled Nominated Visa

This is Permanent Nominated Resident Visa that is valid for 5 years, but you are under moral binding of the state that sponsor's you that you have to live and work in that particular state of Australia.

After this 5 year duration; you can either keep on living in Australia - as this Visa will allow you to continue to live in Oz even after 5 years - but you can not re-enter after this duration using this Visa. To do that you will be required to apply for RRV (Resident Returning Visa) or Citizenship depending on your choice and also on criteria given by DIAC (Department of Immigration & Citizenship).

Complete process of getting a PR for Australia - starts and revolves around the points you score and proving the same. Currently for getting eligible for these PRs - one needs at-least 60 points.

Dont wait anymore. because there is a occupational ceiling. There is a limit for each occupation. For this year (JUL- 2012 to JUL2013) chemical engineer and electronic engineer occupations are already filled,

    Telecom almost finish..

    So dont wait

Most of the time to get 60 points, you need 7. But if we consider 190 subclass, where you get 5 points from state sponsorship, you might only need overall 6.5 points for IELTS. It depends on the ILETS requirement of different states. Eg. For western australia sponsorship you need 6.5.

189 and 190 are PR. TR is different subclass. 475 and 485 belong to this temporary residence category, I think
