During the CBK era, SriLankans had lots of hopes for reforms, development, and peace in this country. Lots of famous figures supported her, one of whom was Victor Ivon. After assuming the office of president, CBK gave various posts to her supporters, including Mr. Ivon. I don't know what happened there. But a few years later, Mr. Ivon became one of the most critic of that government. Once Mr. Ivon met the president, he explained his concerns about the wrongdoings of that government, despite the hopes of his supporters. and CBK asked, If you guys did not take responsibility for the posts I've offered, who would? Good posts need good candidates; if those candidates decline their responsibility, the goons will take that void and continue.

The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by ad people but the silence of good people, this a very famous quote from Martin Luther King, Jr.
