Is it to big for desktop use?

Depends on your needs. I got this for designing purposes. You will get used to it in a while. But you will have to keep the monitor like 3ft away from where you sit. Otherwise Its difficult to look at whole screen at once
Good for gaming and Movie watching. Only Downside is this is not HDR monitor (could not find one in SL at that time) But I have a madVR renderer which gives same output as HDR. So no harm

Yup Damro chair Had to custom made the table because this thing takes up a huge area
Speakers I got them as a Gift. Ocean Wave 3 or something. Its a Chinese brand I think.
