Need Help with Dual Booting!!

Hey all i have windows 7 x64 Ultimate edition installed in my pc. I recently tried to install xp in another sperate partition, since my motherboard's audio device doesn't fully support windows 7. but when i try to install xp along side with the existing windows 7 as a dual boot system, the 7 stops working and the computer automatically boots from xp without going in to a boot screen for me to choose the operating system i wanna use.. want a lil help here guys!! what do you think has gone wrong here????

First install windows xp. Then install windows 7 .

RaguXt,
When creating a dual boot system with windows, always install the earlier version first, then the other one. ( it can be Win 95, win 98, XP, Vista or Win7)

nothing to be worry machan just insert the win 7 DVD then run a startup repair. dual boot screen will be displayed after restart
