autonegotiate should work without any issues provided the device on the other side is configured the same
half duplex means the adapter doesn't send and receive at the same time. (think of something like a walkie-talkie)
this would be detrimental to the performance.
run the network troubleshooter and maybe try doing a driver reinstall
if your computer is plugged into a router check that side as well
