connect both PCs
go to network setting ( both pcs)
adapter options
Internet properties
double click internet protocol V4

subnet - 255.255.255.0
gateway - no need

open run command
win key +R
from pc1

LAN Cable eken PC deka connect karapan.
PC 1 :
Ethernet Properties wala Ipv4 Properties gihin Open wena Dialog eke "Use the following IP Address" kiyana option eka enable karapan.

IP ekta 192.168.1.1 dala Subnet Mask ekata 255.255.255.0 dala save karpan.

PC 2 :
Kalin PC eke wagema IPv4 Properties gihin meka dapan.

IP ekta 192.168.1.2 dala Subnet Mask ekata 255.255.255.0 dala save karpan.


passe PC1 eke run ekata gihin \\192.168.1.2 ghla enter karapan. ethkota PC2 eke logins illai. log wunama shared files thiyenawa nam pennawa

You don't need crossover cables to connect recent computers.. x-overs are long gone.
Since you got a hub/switch you don't have to bother anyway.
