i aloso doing the NIBM degree....it give not only the IT knowledge as in SLIT.
NIBM gives IT knowledge & also management knowledge.it will really help you
to find a job in the industry.

I recommend ICBT campus.. u get a Edexcel certification which is recognized worldwide.. thumbs up... make a vise choice.

NIBM gives a Ireland degree with UGC approval.but SLIIT has only a srilankan degree.

Guys listen..nomatter how much U guys argue there are regulations from governemnt Education Ministry. Upto now there are only just 3 recognised and standardized degrees in Sri Lanka. Accoding to them all other degrees(ACBT,ICBT,APIIT) are I am very sad to say are crap.

There rating are as follows.

1.NIBM
2.SLIIT
3.Open University

we all have to accep this.

Well I just saw this post bumped today. I'm happy to say that I went to NIBM and I got the BSc degree. My post is 4 years old now

Anyway as my experience NIBM now becoming all about money. Specially how they treat to my fellows. Eventhough i went out without any trouble my few fellows are was in really hard situations.

Bad Experience I faced:

1. The NIBM authority now (NSBM) are not responsible when the missing a paper. Student can ask for re-correction or do a inquiry but results will be same.
   
2. Once time a student found that his one of question his not marked (checked) and he complained. What the authority first did is found out how he gets the information and they found that people who collect the marks has tell to the student.(friends who join to staff. I dont remember what they called) . And what the NIBM sadly did is they removed the all that people who told to the student and i don't know what happend for the issue.
   
3. And there are much more. They really not care about students. it is becoming all about MONEY MONEY MONEY. There are many more cases I'll put here as get time.
   
4. And sadly at degree one lesson takes only 5 days. WTF we pay more than 5.30 laks for 5 days lectures. FTG , FNIMB

What i got is

1. Got some eduction , if i was home i wont have any
   
2. I'm getting good money now. because of my talent.
   
3. I got a degree. I can show to everyone
   
4. Still I'm very happy that i was a student there and all i want is NIBM getting better Future. And m best trying to find opportunities for my fellow NIBM people. We should end the era of fucking government Universities. What all government students carry nothing but only JEALOUSY.

What NIBM really missing is the quality of lectures. And no Industrial related eduction. We can't do anything with basics. Need go further. Someone might argue with me that there is no such time for dig deeper. but need to say at degree time between two lectures is nearly or more than month

i totally agreed with the worst lecturers.we must not depend on lecturers true.but there must be even a bit,i mean basic.some lecturers are worst mean worstest.mostly management dont care about students.there only answer nothing else we can do he/she's the only one.
yup i also confirming that NIBM = MONEY MONEY MONEY. i just got late 1 day for payement on 1st semster in HD and my name was deleted on the database.no warnings too . !!! im stucked. lol
