i did that NIBM DCSD long time back.. in year 2001, never thought of continuing it..
that time NIBM sux, but i think now they change the environment..and that crazy 67 point average cut off..

SLIIT and NIBM both are good.

I've gone to both and felt that SLIIT is better than NIBM in their teaching English.

(APIIT isn't bad. But really expensive compared to the places above.)

If you do SLIIT degree then you have various paths to move on.
whereas in NIBM I don't know.

In any place, it's not the lecturers that matter. You have to learn by yourself! No more spoon feeding like in O/Ls and A/Ls.

Issarath athi hodak naha. But compared to others, I feel it's better.

Most of the people think it's bad coz they don't teach all... which we used to during shool.

But after a while you realise higher studies means that you need to learn by yourself. Unis just provide the proper background.

mama danna widihata NIBM degree ekak nemei. that's the Higher Diploma. Then you have to do some British degree.

SLIIT nam ithin BSc (hons) degrees 3yi. General BSc degree 1yi thiyanawane. (Maybe now they have more than that : www.sliit.lk)

SLIIT eka UBC eken approved degree ekak machang denne.

Uni of Colombo karanna puluwan nam , eeka thamai elama. But ithin you have to have good results in A/Ls ne.

SLIIT ekata just 3 passes enough. Even you can do their BSc general degree if you have a pass! (1 subject!)
