If you freeze them, dont have to worry about food poisoning even if its past expire date. Once defrosted eat within same day.

We have to pass food health and safety course and that's one of the main things we got to know.

However if you kept them in your home fridge and put them in freezer once close to expire, is not recommended as domestic fridge is constantly change their temperature due to open and close. Industrial fridge is designed to maintain temperature even if they have open windows.

If you buy stuff that expire within next 2-3 days put them to freezer immediately after purchase.

I am crazy about Waitrose brand oats. Have you ever tried it, you should!! There was 'less than perfect' apples in my local store but they dont do that any more. Those apples were better than the highest quality apples on sale, If my memory served right there were like 20 juicy, crunchy apples for £1.70

Benefits and decent salary is the reason I don't want to leave Waitrose.

Food I always buy Waitrose branded stuff. because I know our quality and we maintain standards.

Everything else (cloths/electric and electronic stuff) I buy from John Lewis. We get 25% off staff discount for Waitrose/John Lewis ( except electric/electronic stuff which is 12.5%).

We removed those less than perfect range because our customers not shown much interest for range. They all happy to pay higher price for quality perfect stuff.
