As I said before there’re alternatives to be used without killing. When there’re developed materials why take skins? I will take a small example from juscurio’s post

See, other than Synthetic fiber there’s others as well.

Anyway, when we hire drummers for a small function we really don’t ask about the materials used because there’s no rule to do so. If you say hiring a drummer is equally cruel like killing we can give up drums without any problem. But it does not mean we agree with you. Anyway, there’re drums with a fiberglass shell and a synthetic drumhead.
