So are you saying that there's no point using high-performance RAM?

Besides you should look at things more rationally, if we take average FPS in a game to be 25 even a 5 frame increase is a 20% increase!! Better RAM would also help you in better overclocking a system up to 50% or more increase in some cases, wouldn't that help better performing audio too?

Hey come on, we live on era of core2duo or core2quad with atleast 1 gig of ram.
The only thing that's holding gaming performance down is your vga card....
and no, it won;t help audio to sound better.... coz x-ram is not hi performance ram, and the fact is every x-fi has ram inside more than enough to process audio........
and no we're not talking on some pentium 4 PC..that might help performance.....
but we're using core2duo now
so please
don't go blabbering about performance
the only significant performance increase you will get is from onboard to x-fi.... not from x-fi to another x-fi with x-ram

Well..... if a Core 2 Duo with 1GB of Value RAM is enough for you then, I can't argue about this anymore with you either! That's your way thinking of a performance PC
