New application forms to establish fuel stations can be downloaded from ceypetco.gov.lk.


The completed application forms should be handed over to the CPC marketing section with a payment of Rs 2,500 to the CPC Finance Division.

The marketing division will issue a number to the applicant after registering the application form. The marketing division will verify the importance of a fuel station at the location required by the applicant and will notify the applicant with other documents.

The new methodology is based on a survey report submitted by the Moratuwa University, CPC sources said.

If the location is not appropriate for a fuel station, the applicant will be informed by the CPC. Without CPC director board recommendations, permission will not be granted to set up a fuel station. Sources said under this new methodology, every fuel station should be equipped with sufficient equipment, storage facilities, consumer service facilities, power preservation strategies and eco-friendly safety methods.

And they said that All stations should also be constructed with latest technological methods,according to CPC sources.
