Geely = Chinese model, horrible crash test results, so totally unsafe. not known for fuel economy, spacious, more comfortable than Maruti, not established in SL, so pisspoor 2nd hand value. Sedan.

Alto - established in SL, 2nd hand value better, cheap spare parts, known for fuel echonomy, k10 engine more advanced, less space, not a sedan.

If you mean Panda - The safest (4star) small car in SL. ABS, Air bags etc. problems - 1.3cc engine is overkill - so Alto k10 better in fuel. Back seat space is questionable.
    not established in SL

    You decide...

    it is the panda.
See my post above. All 3 cars (2 altos and the panda) are the same size.
The 800cc engine in the alto is good if you're driving with a single or two persons. When there's 4 persons, the power just isnt enough.
The 1.3 lt engine in the panda works better there.
Also altos have a 3 cylinder engine. Thats trouble prone.

I think you should test drive and decide... Specially, check the back seats. If you're not worried about fuel echonomy or second hand value, Panda is probably the best.

If you're worried about second hand value, try buying second hand.:D

this depends on how you plan to use it.
Are you looking for a car for long term use ? are you using it for mostly short trips or long ones ? will you be driving it fully loaded (4 persons) most of the time or just by yourself ? Is more than 14 kmpl a high requirement for you ? Are you a reckless driver ? (in which case, not buying any car is probably the best thing to do..)

long trips on small cars is really not recommended. Now the panda costs around 1.5 mil right ? I'm pretty sure you can get a second hand but good sedan for the same price. Maybe even a Toyota sprinter if you look hard enough. I'd say go for something like that. Its got comfort, does reasonably well on fuel and has a resale value.
I'd recommend you look in to that as well. Small cars are not comfortable for long trips and the Panda has no resale value.

you can request info about the panda from him as he's an actual user.

Machan, the guy says - "I brought my car one month back and the Micro sales representative told me that the panda's fuel consumption is 14-12km per liter. However, it has worked only 8km per liter. I have been meaning to do the first service, hoping to fulfill those kms. I will keep you posted after I am done with the first service. By the way, I have almost driven 1500kms."

I don't think these figures will improve. :sorry:
