So I heard the news that some kiddos from my town here... opened up a serious PC store.. target market = gamers, overclockers, modders (so they've told me ) And all out promotion on the first day and guess what.. its the weekend.. So am I to just stay @ home while some *happening hardware* is in town?

Wanted to buy a CPU COOLER for long time.. and after I go there.. woah.. I see CORE-CONTACT FREEZER Since I was not sure it would fix I bought over my motherboard.. and my KARMA factor went off the scale.. sure enough the thing wasn't compatible...

The dealer then offered me a Coolermaster Hyper 212 for half the price (says last unit from a previous stock blah.. blah...) well.. couldn't resist the offer so I bought it for dirt cheap!!

Here's the stuff... (nuwa1 hope you dont mind I put some pics here.. I'm quite lazy to open a new thread for this )

Although I was sad couldn't get the CCF Maybe it was a blessing in disguise!!

Will post the results of the comparison of the temps and some other stuff tomorrow!!
In short... the results weren't bad.. my temps actually had gone down from more than 10'C!!!

Oh! that wasn't a lot... Because after that I scraped from there and applied in the CPU too!

Its about 16cm in height... yes quite huge.. but thank god it clears the base and all those heat sinks around it!!

According to Coolermaster's spec sheet the Noise should be 19dB but I think they are just bullshitting... this is deffa more than that! But for a fan that pulls 70CFM @ 2000RPM this is quiet!!

My VGA @ 100% would crush away all other noises anyway..
