My Sons are in Lyceum Wattala, Still in primary and Nursery.
Nothing to complain. They have Edexcel. They have sports (my one goes to basketball and football) and we do not have to pay extra for them.
Swimming is taught in PT period. The best thing is they do not give home work.
Discipline wise I am happy, they respect elders and knows how to behave.

Reasons

1. Cost
Private ඉස්කෝලෙකට සාපේක්ෂව හොඳ international එකක term ෆීස් දෙගුණයක් විතර වැඩි. අනික international වල text book , exam fees වෙනම ගෙවන්න ඕනේ.

2. Extra curricular activities
International ඉස්කෝලවල වැඩිය sports නෑ. Private ඉස්කෝලෙකට ගියොත් rugger , 1st divison ක්‍රිකට් වගේ ස්පෝර්ට්ස් ගොඩක් සෙල්ලම් කරන්න පුළුවන්. acedemic stress අඩු නිසා හොදට sports කරන්න පුළුවන්

3. School culture
මම අදුරන International වල ඉගෙනගත්ත එකෙක්ටවත් හරියට සිංහල බෑ. අනික උන්ට ලංකාවේ ඇතුලේ වෙන දේවල් වලට වඩා ලංකාවෙන් පිට වෙන දේවල් ගැන interest එක වැඩි.

Private ඉස්කෝලවල උඩරට නැටුම්, සිංහල සාහිත්‍ය සංගම් එහෙම තියන නිසා වැඩිය westernize වීමක් වෙන්නේ නෑ .

4. Discipline
Private ඉස්කෝලවල ඩිසිප්ලින් ගොඩක් ඉහලින් තියෙනවා. International එච්චර strict නැතිනිසා discipline එච්චර හොද නෑ.

5. Prestige
Coparate field එකේ private ඉස්කෝලවල ඉගෙන ගත්ත උන් වෙනම කැපිල පේනවා.
