why not ? sri lanka is geographically located in a good sea route. we need a harbor based city. a port based economic plan will attract money and foreign investments in to the country. sri lankan port will get more recognition by this project.

where is the survey report regarding the damage it will do to mother nature ? this is not new to the world. there are many port cities built in the world with minimal damage to mother nature. we live in a capitalized world with human made constructions. there will be certain amount of damage to mother nature in any human based project. we cant live in jungles anymore. so lets make sure we do it with minimal damage to nature.
btw i would like to know my3s economic plans. can you please enlighten me about it?

thanks for participating in this discussion. lets not compare hambantota port project with colombo port city. i saw some news about imported cars getting re exported to foreign countries via hambantota port. im just trying to figure out what my3 can do to our countries economy. his economic plans are not so clear to me.

Colombo far diffrent from that if we are to become a hub and built a economy around that hambantota is the ideal place but still we have to built its reputation . Usually economy will do good under a unp gov . But yet its good atleast ms can produce a frame work or a box that we cn think he will stay when making decisions
