either your PC is not booting from the DVD first or there's a problem with the DVD you burned.

Check CMOS to see if the first boot device is CD ROM. If it is, there's a problem with the RHEL 5 DVD you got.

u have to reset ur bios machan. I don't know how to do it for lap top. Check from the net. I'm sory. If u try for desktop pc , remove the battery and reset ur bios.

Same as desktop. Go to the CMOS settings in the laptop and change the boot order to CDROM as the first device and HDD as the second.
