Ok, I would say keep it at 50 at least for 500Km. You might get a few honks but don't rush. Then for the next 500 keep it under 70. The problem is machan since the seasoning is done by driving on roads if this period is messed up the performance would chance for life. Actually that's what they say (dealers). I cannot back this up though.

I thought the speed doesn't matter as long as you keep the revs under 3000 for the first 1000Km

because they are more concerned about the quantity of units they manufacture than they are concerned about the quality of a unit.

And to lower the cost too, but its a shame since during this period the user does not get to enjoy the vehicle. The 1st 1000Km he has to drive slow and stuff.

That's for the best machan after 500 you can speed up a bit and then in 1000 you should be good.
