I'm not an active member on Elakiri and don't come here every day. But whenever I come here, if I see a thread about the car model I drive, I read it just to see what others say about it. Now, the general opinion on elakiri about the car I drive is negative. If a user asks whether its ok to buy that particular car, 9 out of 10 of so called experts here would advise against buying it due to a multitude of reasons.
I don't really give a shit about any of it because I dont come here for car advice. But here is the catch. From what I observed, I don't think anyone that advised against buying the vehicle had actually driven it. And when someone asks for advice about a car, I rarely see whoeever is giving the advice take into account the askers preference or why they are buying it. Instead, they would immediately try to shove their personal opinion down the askers throat or worse, shame him for his choice.
I have now driven the vehicle most experts criticize here for over 100000 km in three years without any major fault and love it just like the day I brought it. It fits my requirements perfectly. And if I actually asked for advice whether to by it or not in this forum, I really doubt the advice I would have gotten would be correct. At least in my case it wouldn't have been.
agreed. but I still think what I said before is correct. people should not buy these when there are better cars around.
So before you act like protectors of the people against buying useless cars, be humble enough to consider others requirements and most of all to tolerate other opinions. Also be dignified human beings so as not to insult others as 'hinganna' based on the model of the car they drive.
I didn't call shan4djfun a higanna, but the typical indian car buyer. the indian buyer. not the sri lankan buyer of an Indian car
