you want facts? the guy claimed he is gonna pay the entire debt of Sri Lanka within one day, which is approximately $65 billion. So to pay that kind of amount within 1 day this guy must be worth more than $65 billion right? did you know Mark Zuckerberg's net worth is $72 billion? you see where this is going right? This Pallewatta guy started his campaign with a big fat lie, why would trust him to be the president?

That's theoretically correct yes, but do you, or does he, know how impractical it is? Who will give you a loan for less interest? Does he already have lenders? or is he just day dreaming? And a loan of 65 billions is not processed in a day, it needs a long time even if he manages to find one, which is never going to happen. If this guy says he will pay the loans like that, that is reason enough to reject him.

well interest rate in japan is 0.1 and most european countries are 1%-2%. 65 billion feels like lot when we consider it in relation to our gdp but japan's gdp is several trillions aswell as in mos european countries. so 65 billions wontt be a problem. furthermore no politician with economic knowledge or other professional has disproven mr.Pallewaththa's suggestions which indirectly imply that it is possible.

true tha they have considerable amount of debts but in other hand several 1st world countries indebt to japan in massive amounts. fora example usa owe more than 1 trillion to japan. so in a way they are managing their debts very well. no matter their rank in he list japan gdp is excess of 4 trillions. so 65 billions or atleast part of it wont be problem.
