Share IT Fresh graduate salary details

I don't know how the interviews and recruitment trend started to change nowadays. But when I started my career in 2008, fresh salary is pretty much the same with present starting salary (at least in my place). They treated Engineering grads with more salary and the remaining IT, CS, Physical guys fell in to the same basket regardless of their origin. (even regardless of their GPA)

My starting was 45K at that time, but my tech lead also had the same amount when he started 8 years ago. we both used to laugh together and that's it. No hard thoughts , it takes couple of years for you to realize that there is nothing to be worried about your first degree rather your pay EOD. All these companies will systematically suck your soul into it and don't fell in that trap lol. I request all the guys commented here to put their starting salary as per the purpose of this thread.

fresh salary would be 8000 at most places. Sorry to disappoint you. But being a software engineer is being a bitch for the company owner, doing his all crapy works and in the end he will be throwing a bone at you and you got to lick it and be happy with it.

you will be earning multi millions for the company and you will get 8,000 of it at the end of the month.

bottom line, its all about being a good bitch.

WSO2 pays 65K for a jz passed out student positioning as SE (probably UOM, UCSC, UOP guys will get the chance)
MIT, IFS pays 45K for a jz passed out student positioning as ASE (anywhere including NIBM, SLIIT, IIT, etc)
Virtusa 30K for a jz passed out student positioning as ASE (anywhere including NIBM, SLIIT, IIT, etc)

I don't recommend to start a degree in SLIIT if you are not really passionate about the field... Nowadays an interview can't be guaranteed for a SLIIT graduate... that's the True Story...

degree එක තිබ්බා කියලා කවුරුවත් රස්සා දෙන්නේ නෑ. තමන්ව market කරන්න තමන් දැනගන්න ඕන. කරන්නන්වාලේ degree කරලා කොහෙන් ගත්තත් රස්සා හම්බවෙන්නේ නෑ. තමන් වැඩ්ඩෙක් කියලා පෙන්නුවා නම් තමයි මේ රැකියා වෙළඳපලේ රැකියා හම්බවෙන්නේ.

මීට අවුරුදු 5 කට කලින් තිබ්බ තත්වය නෙවෙයි දැන් තියෙන්නේ. උපාධිධාරීයෝ ලංකාවේ ඕන තරම් ඉන්නවා. වැඩි සැපයුමක් එක්ක අඩු ඉල්ලුමක් එනකොට තෝරගන්නේ ඇවිල්ලා තියෙන degree holders ලාගේන් සුපිරිම සෙට් එක. ඒ වගේම අනිත් අය ඕනම ගානකට රැකියාවට යන්න බලනවා
