That's true machan.SLIIT is a reputed IT degree awarding institute.Please check who are the Chairman and Managing Director of SLIIT.

There can be few people who don't have a dedication.But they get the actual result when they are sitting for the exams.In my batch many people failed in the first year.And then they never came back to complete the degree.If u guys think you can pay money and get the degree from sliit.It's a dream.SLIIT is a UGC approved degree awarding institue.Finally i like to say, there are about 200 SLIIT graduates who work at IFS. Don't insult the institutes without knowing the real situation. IIT also a good institute. If you have the talent you can proceed with the career.Some leading software companies there are many people, they don't have a degree.Only have a professional qualification like BCS.But they are at higher positions due to their talent and dedication.Other thing is, as my experience real talented people(it can be Mora,Pera or UCSC) don't insult other people. They respect other people. The people who met me at the industry was like that.
Finally i don't like to waste my time to quarrel on such a silly topic. But i noticed this thread from start to end. Many people are talking out of the thread's topic and trying to insult others. So don't behave like that. Behave as a real IT professional. Other thing is the people who done revolution in the world are not graduates. Best living example is "Bill Gates".

Oh really??... see how many students go for PhD in UCSC than Mora(IT)..

And see how many have placed in companies like MIT(Where you need the conceptual knowledge of Computer Science , not the places you blabber, there are places you only have to blabber and even people from APIIT get more salary for example , the company provide IT Services) from UCSC and from Mora(IT)...

Please I beg you don't compare Computer Science with Information Technology..

Saying that your degree is better than PCJT does not say much about the quality of your degree does it?

Anyway I have no issues with your degree. Provided that you do it right.

I don't know how the interviews and recruitment trend started to change nowadays. But when I started my career in 2008, fresh salary is pretty much the same with present starting salary (at least in my place). They treated Engineering grads with more salary and the remaining IT, CS, Physical guys fell in to the same basket regardless of their origin. (even regardless of their GPA)

My starting was 45K at that time, but my tech lead also had the same amount when he started 8 years ago. we both used to laugh together and that's it. No hard thoughts , it takes couple of years for you to realize that there is nothing to be worried about your first degree rather your pay EOD. All these companies will systematically suck your soul into it and don't fell in that trap lol. I request all the guys commented here to put their starting salary as per the purpose of this thread.
