Piyavara Thabana song by Thyaga Edward (From a close relative of its lyrics writer)
Hi,
If you are still interested in the song "Piyawara Thabana" by Thyaga Edward, I can send it to you. It was written in 1974 by one of my closest relatives (ChandrasenaRange)
He has written some other series of very popular songs such as Nohandan Landune, Subha Kiya, Upuli Kavudo, Radha Krishna, Mal Pipila, Nohandan Miyulasiye, Chuti mage duwa Chuti, Victor Rathnayakas Jeewithe Thurunu Wasanthe etc etc.
In 60s and 70s, he was attached to SLBC Engineering Staff and now he is in Australia (prparing for his PHD) and attached to Australian Education Dept.
Please let me know if you are still interested in this song (I have a video clip as well in which Thayaga being interviewed by "Rupavahini" recently on this song (via the prog. called Saumya Rathri))
