Yh its was . I dnt think slc had a much choice than keep him away coz he was fishing at wide deliveries then n for a test opener u need to be compact n play within ur self till u gets going .if not ur going to give some workload to ppl behind u. We never has good one for dilshan to partner so even with that i too felt he should hv gvn a go.after 2007 wc where he played some test match type innings ppl wanted him out f d team n he ddnt do well after tht either. Every time u see either him being dismissed for cheaply or having a big score .problem is first scenario happens too often

Yeah but keeping a player out of a team for 7 years is just too much.Yeah I know that weakness of him.but rather than keeping him out SLC should have try to correct that weakness and put him in to the field and see how it goes.I certainly think he had the ability in that time to play long innings even though he had a weakness outside of stump.Surely you can't simply neglect a player who got 5000 ODI runs in no time.

same scenario for Sachithra.SLC coaches should have recognize that Sachithra is bowling using more degrees than permitted and should have corrected it before letting him play International cricket.then he would have either bowl well or fade away.you certainly don't want one of your international players to get a life ban. So all blame should go to this damn SLC

I dnt think slc can do anything to overcome the tharangas weakness coz he himself knows the weakness its flashing at deliveries. u just need to tl urself u rnt goona go after away deliveries when u r not set n when its swinging.what u need is self control.just as left hander see a leggy bowls , ball comes out top f his wrist u gets tempted to have a go but u jzt cant go at evrything. yh 7 yrs being on sidelines is a nt a good thing bt its in last few months he discovered this magic nobody was talking abt him in test cricket for past 5 yrs obviously not this much anyway. Hope at least this time he wont go for those

Yeah I know ban lot depends on Tharanga but surely SLC has a part to do.That is what coaches and Management are for.if he is the only one who can make it right then he had more than enough time for that.That is what I am saying.
