Did u call the card center and confirm?
I Use it with PABC CC and never had this problem.
at first when you Book one, Ube app check with your card issuing bank whether you have enough funds, *Declnd Payment UBER BV
So this actually doesn't deduct the amount but you'll get the SMS that it has hold this amount.
So when at the end of Ride when the Driver ends the trip, then only Uber confirm the amount to Bank and that amount is deducted ( you'll not get a another SMS)
Check your card statement carefully and you'll see only one transaction.
Also on Uber My Trips, it will say Trip Canceled.
If not you can select the trip and ask for refund.
Using Uber for more than 300 Trips never had a issue.![]()

This is true. They have to hold the fee upfront to make sure you have sufficient funds for the payment. Actual payment happens after the trip. "At the start of a trip, Uber may place a temporary authorization hold for the upfront fare of the trip on your payment method. This will show up as a "pending" charge on your account's payment method. When the trip completes, this authorization hold is converted to a charge for the final trip fare.
If the trip has been canceled or the total fare is different than the upfront price in your app, the original authorization hold should be voided from your payment method within a few business days, but depending on your bank policy. "
