what I meant was downward displacement of air. then air pushes the helicopter up. that's a action reaction pair.

I just read an articles and it states that 3rd law effect causes 20% of the lift while Bernoulli's effect causes the other 80%(roughly speaking of course)

so what I said was not entirely wrong. but what u said was wrong. helicopter doesn't create any upward force. air does.

Yes I agree with you. There might be only 80% lift created by the rotor blades using Bernoulli's effect while the rest is created by Newton'd third law.

However neither the Helicopter nor the air create the upward force (lift), the rotor blade (wing) does it. You are wrong again mate.
