The Machan Movie!!!
This film is a fairly good one, in fact it’s a great one if you are not a Sri Lankan.
Image of the sri Lankan poor people is brutally damaged by "first half hour" of the film.
Its wicked humor.
Two old women betting for horses, Roof of the house is taken away. Stanley coming straight out of the road after selling oranges to apply German visa. I know its humor. But to make it humar ,does any one wants to damage the country’s image. I have no argument, if this is the reality and this is how the poor people of sri lanka live.But it is only the pure imagination of the Italian director. And he does it impressively well.
As i say if you are not a Sri Lankan this Machan movie is a near Masterpiece. Acting is excellent.But for me it was a pain in my ass
to watch that movie MACHAN. Because director is doing well and he is pointing out the UNREALITY.
