surface of an object reflects some colors and absorbs all the others. We perceive only the reflected colors. Just because we perceive as red ; it wouldn't actually be red would it.? So all the things we see are delusions.

there is no color to an object other than what is reflected back from it... but yes in a way u are right, we are deluded to think that red apple has a 'red surface' when actually the surface of the it has no color..,
color is only in our brain, corresponding to each wave spectrum..

    true.

this gets even more freakier as we go to the microcosm. not only color, but concepts like position, spin, velocity all these loses their ordinary meanings.

what bothers me most is what if the very conception of size as we know it loses it's meaning as we go deeper and deeper into the microcosm ? does it imply smallness is infinite too ?

western scientists dont know what happen when something is smaller than the plank size... do nalin's guys have some idea,,?

If it is verily colourless why do we perceive an apple as Red and Pears as Green? What is the factor preventing us perceiving the above two vise versa ?

:baffled::baffled:What if some object absorb all the colure So you cannot see it but it exist all the time. Only if you touch it you would know it exist.:baffled::baffled:

Well, first non of the objects absorb colours but wave lengths. Second; then the object appears black when it absorbs them all.

But you do right about one things, perhaps there would be things which we couldn't see but can touch.

hmmmm interesting. But the surface of an apple differs from the surface of a strawberry ; yet both reflected the same colour. :baffled: any explanation regarding that bro?

texture of the surface is just a one factor (and a very small factor)
most decisive factor is the energy levels of the atoms of the surface , i think.
    and many other factors too..

(there can be objects of same surface texture with totally different chemistry, and vise versa..)
