I was a nokia fanboy too .. but now im pretty sure that i would never move back to those phones with " primitive " operating systems and poor built quality

personal i dont know much about mobiles.but have used both brands and prefer SE over nokia,but this N phone has a hardware keyboard which is very convenient for messaging.but nokia comes up with new mobile phones so fastly.so your mobile will get older quickly.but SEs userinterfrace kinnda suck.but its good

It all boils down to your personal preference and needs, Features wise you cannot compare the N97 to the W995. N97 is a smart phone while W995 is a feature (dumb ? lol) phone. as far as I'm concerned I can live with a dumb phone, can N97 do 700MB dvdrips out of the box ?
Then that's a smart device IMO,
But I suggest you to move on to something much smarter since you have $$$, like an Omnia
