Machan do you know that Smith took captaincy when he was 22,when there was seniors like Kallis available In that time SA team was sorta off colored,but now look what Smith made out of SA team,one of the best teams in the world
If Mathews get enough support from seniors like Sanga,Mahela,Dilly,Tharanga,Malinga with some new guys like Chandimal,Thirimanne,Banuka Rajapaksha,Kapugedara(yeah yeah he is out of form now,give him some time with a proper number in the team instead shifting everywhere and he will rise ) Mathews will be a force to reckon.Still it was a mistake to name Mahela as the vice captain.IT should've been Mathews under Sanga for 2 years so now he will be groomed.But I support Mathews as new captain while someone like Kapugedara as vice,with some responsibility I hope Kapu will rise to the occasion.Kapu is 24 and at least got 10 years of cricket in him,he got talent and should not be wasted like this.
For test I think Sanga should remain 1-2 years,responsibility of test captaincy for Mathews is too much to handle,even too much for Dilshan
