Windows desktop වල CMD වගේම හැම desktop OS එකකම console (Shell) එකක් තියනවානේ. ඉතින් ඒ වගේ console එකක් Windows phone වලටත් install කරල පාවිච්චි කරන්න පුළුවන්. ඒ තමයි MS – DOS Mobile. මේ app එක මගින් විවිධ command type කරල වැඩ කරගන්න පුළුවන්. තවමත් release වෙලා තියෙන්නේ version 1.0 එක විතරයි.
MS-DOS Mobile app එක මෙතනින් download කරගන්න.
Download කරල install කරගත්තු Console එක Open කරගත්තම C: directory එකට තමයි යන්නේ. එතන ඉදන් පොඩි පොඩි console එකේ වැඩ App එකෙන් කරගන්න පුළුවන්.

Console එකේ “camera” කියල type කරන්න. ඔබට ASCII, CGA,black and white mode වල camera එකක් ලැබේවි.

• “cls” command එකෙන් පෙර සියළු command මකා දැමිය හැක.
• “color attr” command එකෙන් console එකේ background color එක වගේම foreground color එකත් වෙනස් කරගන්න පුළුවන්.
• “phone select” command එකෙන් Lumia phone එකේ contact list එක open කරගන්න පුළුවන්.
  
• “date” හෝ “time” command මගින් MS-DOS වල දැන් වෙළාව හෝ දිනය ලබාගන්න.
• “dir” command මගින් ඔබ සිටින directory එකේ content පෙන්වාවි.
• “email” , “sms” හෝ “phone” ලෙස type කර email යවන්න, sms යවන්න හෝ phone call එකක් ගන්න.
• “exit” command එක මගින් console එකන් exit වෙන්න.
• A: හෝ B: ලෙස type කල විට Floppy disk එකක් access කරන්නට try කරාවි. නමුත් it can’t find the drive ලෙස response එකක් ලැබේවි.

මේ යටතේ ඔබට අමුතුම ආකාරයේ අත්දැකීමක් ලැබෙනු ඇත. Windows phone වල hidden කර ඇති Action game එකක් වන Rock Paper Scissors IV XL: world championship edition නම් game එක ලැබේවි. මේ සදහා පලමුව “cd games” ලෙස type කරන්න. පසුව එම directory එකේ “cd rps” ලෙස type කරන්න. ඉන්පසුව “rps.exe” ලෙස type කරන්න. එවිට game එක configure කරගැනීමට Cortana සහය ලැබේවි.

Windows 10 Mobile Insider 'Redstone' builds to go to Lumia 550, Lumia 950 series first

​

The new information is likely to cause a bit of a stir but is to be expected. Here is what you need to know:

• New Insider builds (presumably the RS1 Redstone release branch) will go to the Lumia 550, Lumia950 and Lumia 950 XL first and "expand from there as we release Windows 10 to other devices."
• Windows 10 Mobile general updates for Windows Phone 8.1 hardware is still planned for "early this year" but there are no dates to share just yet

Expanding upon the general Windows 10 Mobile update, Gabriel Aul said the following:

"The team is working now by looking at data and reports from Insiders who have upgraded their devices to preview builds, and ensuring that we deliver a great upgrade experience to customers. We're excited about making the upgrade available, and will share new information with you just as soon as we can on how the rollout will happen."

Regarding OneCore (Microsoft's term for a shared OS base), the company is prioritizing certain devices first, but moving all along the same path:

"We've also been working on our shared core which spans across PC, Mobile, Xbox, HoloLens, and more – which we call OneCore. Our build systems produce new builds daily for all of these editions, so as we've been doing this work we have been producing new PC builds as well as mobile builds. Today we deliver our 4th PC preview build, and are nearly ready to start sharing new preview builds for Mobile as well. "

Unfortunately, those still waiting for the Windows 10 Mobile official update are in limbo. It is coming, perhaps even later in February, but it sounds like there is still some testing and finalizing that is occurring. Considering the original plan was to have the update out by the end of 2015 and Microsoft is indeed pushing the update back further and further.
The upcoming Redstone (RS1) release for mobile and those update plans make more sense. Going forward, Microsoft is likely to focus on just its core Lumias released in late 2015 for future OS versions. Doing OS updates and testing on the dozen Lumia models out there is time-consuming and resource intensive.
