You know why I am in that Mentality?

    1. Recently two Buddhist statues were instated on the road sides of Katubedda. Polkotuwa Road, and Thuduwanmulla Road, and you know what? These two roads are used by the Catholic Church procession. Not a single Temple procession travels in these roads. These statues were situated by thugs! Planned! during late night hours... Talk about law... THE LAW states they cannot situate a Buddhist statues on roads.... WHERE IS THE LAW?

    2. Further climax was that Buddhist monks wanted to situate a Buddhist statue inside the Roman Catholic College premises, a College sponsored by the Catholic church since its start.

    3. The Jubilee Road, at Katubedda, which is in-front of the Catholic Church. These thugs also wanted to situate a Buddhist statue there as well covering all three routes of the church procession. They wanted to situate a Buddha statue in-front of church! Now whats with this?

    4. Buddhist people in Soysapura have started to grow trees in Soysapura church land and claiming it as there own. A cross on the church land was recently destroyed with the participation on Buddhist monks and Hela urumaya leaders.

For a person who is not in society please read and come to know these things. I have made previous topics regarding these incidents. You can stand on your head and tell me that that there is not religious conflict in Moratuwa, but people here in Moratuwa will laugh at you :lol::lol:... The Police incident that occurred was expected. I am not afraid to risk anything for God. Jesus died for us on the cross, and I will protect mine.

I was reading the thread and HOW in the world this got something to do with your LED situation :baffled::baffled: Just because some other things happened I don't see any reason you can disturb other drivers by putting unwanted lights.Don't start more ugly wars here men, this is a community forum-not a battle ground for religion-conspiracy idiots. All I can see is this conspiracy theory of yours clouding all your judgements and whenever what happens you seem to think this is the reason, just asking how do you know the policeman was Buddhist & not Christian, did you asked?,did he answered ? who knows maybe he is not Buddhist and just was doing his duty ? why is it so hard for you to accept what you have done wrong,Christian or Buddhist putting unwanted lights(other than what should be in there) always disturbs other drivers and can cause accidents. And to this day I have not seen anyone putting lights that say Budu saranai or dharma chakraya infront/back of vehicles like you claim who not got warnings by police.
One reminder machan, whatever your religion is think about the safety of everyone in the road when driving.Safety is always first. One small distraction for a driver can end one life in matter of seconds,I SAY THIS BCOS I HAVE SEEN THIS WITH MY OWN EYES.

Read the law books please. Kthx.
law states erecting anything on the road side requires prior aproval of the governing body for that road and the prior approval of the governing body for that area. If the road belongs to the RDA, then aproval from that plus the local provincial/urban/city council otherwise its totally a matter with the provincial/urban/city council. Exceptions are when there are military/strategic installations in the area, Then additional approval from the relevant authorities are needed. When obtaining these approvals, all aspects are to be taken in to consideration.
Any statues or crucifixes are placed within these laws.

I went the PWC, we were never thought our religion in the school. When our parents complained you know what the monk said? "Ubalata mona agamada, ubalage agame mathpan ne bonne, eka jara agamak"
I dont know the workings on PWC. If its a govt school, semi govt or even a private one. Without knowing about that, I cant comment. Even on why your parents went to a monk about this matter. Local education ministry would be the place to discuss it.

And so? These were instead before the law was enforced.... read the law book please kthx... and I ask you.... do you know reason why the law was created recently?
which law are you referring to ? clarify.
Bigot? Ok ok, I'm a bigot.... what does that make you?
    Obviously not a bigot.

REALLY? This is the mind people had when the Tamils got beaten....
tamils got beaten ? where ? when ? AFAIK, the Tamils are living in peace throughout the country, even in the heart of the capitol of the country, practicing their religions just fine.
Guts are thing that are controlled by humanity... if a man acts like a animal like you... we humans are worse than animals.
if all men acted like me, laws will be enforced impartially, there'd be no corruption anywhere and the land will prosper in general. If thats thats acting like animals, I'll take it over your form of bigoted humanity any day.

Mr. kosandpol, I don't know if you from a good family or not there are eticates and humanity when dealing with subjects. A person putting a lit cross on a bike is not wrong nor a bad thing. Now if this was a lit sexy lady we might have a problem
neither one is a problem as long as it doesnt break any laws. If you have fixed an unlit cross, you would'nt have got pulled over. If you fixed a lit cross on the side of your bike, you wouldnt have got pulled over. Instead, you fixed a lit cross in front of the bike. Cross or sexy lady, that was illegal and you got pulled over.
This is the reason you wont answer the question I've been asking through out. because you know what you did was wrong and the cops pulling you over is not wrong.
You just want to avoid it and instead make a problem out of it so that you can keep on shouting over it.
Now its not wrong to suddenly leave the dinner table, but there is a method to leave the dinner table by respecting the table head by asking permission. These are called manners (if you didn't know)

The Police is there to serve the people. They must remember that! Religion is a thing of the people. If a person wants to display their religion on vehicle then yes, its their right to do so. The legal frame work was never meant for stopping a cross. It was meant to stop a three wheeler looking like a Container at night. A police officer must respect religion and people and work accordingly. Did you know, that its ok to have two head lights one on top of another? but you cannot have two more on sides, which would be illegal. So I have actually not broken the law... Law states the lights must distinguish the vehicle so my cross is not wrong and nor is Mate bike with two head lights (one on top of another).. I just got my License back :dull: :P
The law is not there to stop 3wheelers from fixing lights. Its there for ALL vehicles. 3wheelers, bikes ,cars and other vehicles.
There's no law stopping you from displaying whatever religion you want to display. There are enough vehicles on the road with crucifixes, jesus, mary, lord buddha, allah affixed in them. However one thing they all have in common is that they are not lit up in front of the vehicle in such way that it breaks given laws. Your cross has become an exception where it has broken the law.

According to you the Church can situate a statue infront a temple. Yes its possible! but people don't do it, its not human and it will be a disrespect to that religion :dull: Society is more complex than you think. People don't behave like animals, but they can if they want to.
Like I said before, go to other predominately christian areas of the country. there are such statues in front of temples situated but without any conflict over it.

The cross is barely visible to cause a distraction... not even around two by one inch that's all. Police officer told that he thought it was color changing :lol: what a lie.

The reason why your still in-front of a PC posting Topics at a internet forum all day. Trying to convince people over the internet without seeing the real world situation.

It has not... It was directly above the main lamp. Not on the sides (left and right to the main lamp is illegal) and its not flicking or changing color hehe :P

Not after 2001. Anything after 2001 is illegal by any religion. Since you know so much, I think you know the incident why it got banned :P

Thats how it is when they notice they barked up the wrong tree. As I said a Buddhist extremist cannot always do what he wants.... he just managed to inconvenience me (Rasthiyadu).
