Few occupations have reached their ceiling

The following occupations have reached their annual occupational ceiling:

    • Chemical and Materials Engineers
    • ICT Business & System Analysts
    • Electronic Engineers.
No further invitations can be issued for these occupation groups until 1 July 2013. This limitation does not apply to Employer Sponsored or Business Innovation and Investment visa classes. For the state and territory nominated visas, a state or territory will not be able to nominate you if your nominated occupation has reached its occupation ceiling. For clients with an Expression Of Interest in these occupation groups, your Expression Of Interest will remain valid for two years from the date you submitted your Expression Of Interest.
The below occupations have not yet reached their ceiling levels, however, 75% or more of the invitation ceiling levels for these occupations have been reached. Intending migrants who have selected any of these as their nominated occupation should submit their EOI to have a chance of being invited before their occupation reaches its ceiling:

    • Telecommunications Engineering Professionals (447 of 480)
    • Other Engineering Professionals (435 of 540)
    • Software and Applications Programmers (3898 of 5160)
Any ceiling reached will be reset on 1 July 2013.

    Machan "Malakadss"

Are you still in the migration process or already in Aussie?
I have submitted my CDR to Engineers Australia and waiting for outcome.

But still I have to wait another year to complete my 3 years experience.

Machan Any details to share in the EOI submission process.

You are using an agent or doing on your own?

Credentialled community language qualifications - 5 points (This is not a point that we can claim)

Study in regional Australia or a low population growth metropolitan area (excluding distance education - 5 points

Partner skill qualifications - 5 points ( If your wife/Husband has skills as above they can claim 5 points. But have follow same process to prove that. As example your wife is a software engineer, then can claim this 5 points)

Professional Year in Australia for at least 12 months in the four years before the day you were invited - 5 Points (This is not a point that we can claim)
No you can... These exams not held in Sri Lanka, but you can do it in India.

you need minimum 2 years experience to get your experience assessed by ACS and you need min 3 years experience if you are to get 5 points.

yes machan. ACS is independent entity in relation to DIAC. So ACS needs only 2 years experience to access your qualifications whereas DIAC want 3 years min to claim 5 points :)
