Machan I cannot get the idea of this sentence...."thought I told you never to tell a soul"

Is that meant "I though that I told you, never say about soul" but I cannot understand what you meant by "soul" ආත්මය කියන එකටද???

ahh that's the point machan I cannot grab those little things...I think coz this is not our mother tongue neh??? But I like to learn those little phrases

Actually machan my English knowledge is very poor when I was in grade 7..If my mind correct I scored only 31 out of 100 in year end exam. Fortunately I met a teacher and she was unbelievable...and also she is very strict in her tuition class..It was enough done one wrong thing to get beaten...I was afraid go to class at that time...ultimately she raised me to the climax at the end of O/L exam and I got "A" pass. But I Knew it was 75% contribution from her side.

So far I'm doing basic grammatical mistakes in most of my sentences...and I pleased to elakiriens who are prudential in English, correct me and not going to "bite" me here an there

Only thing is I'm trying to correct myself...
And I will be honored who started this valuable tread

Grammar is not always the matter. Sometimes too much emphasis on grammar makes your conversation unnatural, odd, strange (whatever etc etc). Just watch a lot of movies, read as many books as you can, and watch youtube videos too. You'll see some great improvement in no time.

Make friends with guys like twisted, and talk to them often. Avoid people like me, bc most of my conversations involve abusive language and that too in Sinhala. Seriously, you have many resource persons here.

But I got a chance to work with a Englishman, In every time I spoke with him he tried to grab me what I'm trying to tell him...he was not bothered about my grammar and tenses...
