yeah that's what I thought, but if the vehicle stops in the reverse gear will the light stay on, haven't checked it

We need to know you actually own this car... We are confused on whether you are a genuine car owner of AMW car salesman. You have yet to produce the car's photo parked at your house. It's what normal people do when they first post a thread here or in FB. Second you seems unaware of the details about your vehicle. This is careless attitude from a person who has done 6 months worth of research and a test drive in AMW? Did you actually check your car before buying?

Because the car is rolling backwards, obviously
You can't keep the gear in reverse and apply parking brakes and then release the clutch. The car will stall!

1. first a sales person from ideal motors in rathmalana drove the vehicle out of the station and drove around with me about 1km with their marketing blah blah stuff, he then handed over the vehicle near kothalawala defence academy, then I drove from there to airport road turn around and came back, the whole trip was about 4km's (red car)


2. when the renault showroom was about to open in gangarama I went there and drove the a great kwid around slave island. thats basically it, went there few times and ordered within a week

when receiving the car I took one of my mech friends and got everything checked before signing the lease delivery note and customer delivery note
