actually i think even sajith premadasa is more nationalistic than his leader. gl peiris on the other hand is more liberal. i honestly dont understand what he's doing with mahinda rajapakse

What makes u think g.l. is liberal? At best he is moderate I think, leaning more toward nationalism... can't think such intellectual would just hang around rajapakshas for power and money..

afaik he was against the war against ltte and used to say it should be negotiated from the beginning. that doesnt sound like nationalistic to me

Well, he can get power and money sticking with ranil,malik ..etc guys too.

Weren't those the time he was with ranil? He was a minister in ranils 2001-2003 parliament.. maybe then he changed his views ...

But then again, can't think he would change his political ideas at such a mature age..

May be for money, 2001 constitution was more close to federal status. so he was federalist as Mahinda was before 2005.
