I tried to do the same thing when I switched to linux years ago. Tried cinnamon, KDE and many other things and got fed up real quickly. After that I made my peace with the fact that Linux will never be like windows and to this day I haven't even bothered to change wallpapers in ubuntu Gnome2 and Gnome3 are morethan okay now. Best desktop environment for me is Windows 7, XP and gnome3/2. Windows 10 is a piece of sh**. I cannot find anything in that

BTW he is not wrong. You can make ubuntu look exactly like windows at the first glance. But why bother.

Linux is my daily driver 4 Laptops, multiple raspberryPis and one PC are running ubuntu and ubuntu mate and Raspbian. These days I use windows only for gaming, special softwares and MS office.

What you are saying is partially true though. Linux is not for everyone as linux has a steep learning curve.

Saying linux is crap is wrong, wrong and wrong again.

Programming කරනවා නං linux හොඳයි. Windows හරියන්නෙ .net වලට විතරයි. දැන් ඔය WSL, Windows Terminal එහෙම එන්නෙ ඒ requirement එක පුරවන්න. ඒවත් setup කරගන්න ගියාම Linux වගේ තමා. ඉස්සරහට Windows එකත් Linux Distro එකක් වෙයි.

දැන් .net එකත් linux වලට එනව. .Net Core එක නං Full support.
