"That's why people should try Linux" let's take this for example. why didn't they have tried?
A very simple answer is using Windows or Mac os is easier. back in the day's windows was the First operating system that gave GUI's to people. so far that was people's choice over Linux. we simply can't change the choice of Billions of people. and never will

But for professionals, Linux is the best choice. and the perfect OS so far

hp i5 4GB රැම් , වින්ඩෝස් 10 බඩ ගානවා ට්ස්ක් මෙනෙගේර් අරින්නත් විනාඩියක් විතර යනවා. එකයි මට වින්ඩොව්ස් එපාවුනේ . උබලට්ත් එහෙමද?

windows updates! හාපෝ... මං බුතයෙකුටවත් බය නෑ windows updates වලට තරං!.

ඔවු මම දැක්කා කට්ටිය Ubuntu ඔය විදිහට use කරනවා. මට හැම වෙලේම උවමන උනා Windows මත depend නොවෙන විකල්පයක්.
මම කවදාවත් WSL try කරලා නෑ. කෙලින්ම වෙන computer එකකට හරි වෙනම hard drive එකකට Linux දාලා use කලේ.

එහෙමද මචන්.. මම try කරලා නෑ බං..

මම Windows අත අරින්න හේතු ගොඩක් තියනවා.

* මට විකල්පයක උවමනාව කාලෙක ඉඳන්ම තිබ්බ. මම Linux වලට එන්නත් කාලෙක ඉඳන් උවමනාව තිබ්බා. job එකේ වැඩ කරන්න බැරි වෙයි කියලා බයක් තිබ්බේ.

* උන්ගේ බරපතල privacy violations හැම දේම track කරනවා. එහෙම කරන බව agreement එකේ ලියලා තියනවා.

* ඒකටම සෙට් වෙන non free & closed source environment එක. updates එනවා යනවා. මොනවා එනවද මොනවා යනවද මන් දන්නේ නෑ.

* මගේ Windows computer එකේ අයිතිකාරයා මම නෙවේ. Microsoft. ඒක ඒගොල්ලෝ rules & regulations වල කියල තියනවා. MS කියනවා මම install කරන හැම දේටම මම පවිච්චි කරන හැමදේටම ඇඟිලි ගහන්න ඒ ගොල්ලන්ට අයිතියක් තියනවා සහ එහෙම කරනවා කියලා.

* මට ඕන විදිහට නෙවේ OS එක වැඩ කරන්නේ Microsoft එකට ඕන විදිහට. උන්ට ඕන විදිහට මම නටන්න ඕන. මට ඕන නැති Windows features / software / tools / services ..etc මට remove කරන්න බෑ! උන් කියන විදිහට මම ඉන්න ඕන. උන් දෙන දේ මම උන්ගේ scope එක ඇතුලේ use කරන්න ඕන. මට ඕන විදිහට customize කරලා scope එක වෙනස් කර ගන්න මට බෑ. මම උන් ගහන ගහන පදේට නටන්න ඕන.

* virus Gard එකක් අනිවාර්යෙන් ඕන. මන් දන්නවා ඕන නං කෙනෙකුට පරිස්සමට ඉන්න පුළුවන් කියලා virus Gard එකක් නැතුව උනත් නමුත් හැම වෙලේම vulnerable! මොකක් හරි එකක් download කරපු ගමන්, කාගේ හරි device එකක් connect කල ගමන් කොයි වෙලේ කෙල වෙයිද කියන්න දන්නේ නෑ. පරෙස්සන් වෙන්න ඕන. (ඒ වගේම කියන්න ඕන මම licensed Windows පාවිච්චි කරනවා 2012 ඉඳන්. 2013 දවසක මට torrent එකකින් virus එකක් අවා. එයින් පස්සේ අද වෙන කම් කිසිම virus එකක් මට attack කරලා නෑ.)

* Windows + Defender(service) + unwanted services ඔක්කොම එකතු උනාම සැහෙන්න resources කනවා. එහෙම කියලා මට ඒක පාලනය කරන්න බෑ. Windows මට ඒවා අයින් කරන්න දෙන්නෙත් නෑ.

* සත පහකට විස්වාස කරන්න බැරි Windows updates! ඒවා install වෙලාම බලන්න ඕන මොකද වෙලා තියෙන්නේ කියලා. මේ ලඟදි ඉඳලා මගේ Windows 10 game bar එක වැඩ කරන්නේ නෑ. මට ඒක නිතරම ඕන games වලට screen capture කරන්න, screen record කරන්න. දැන් ඒක switch on කරන්න බෑ. මං මුකුත් කලේ නෑ. නිකම්ම. update එකකින් පස්සේ වෙන්න ඕන. මොකද මම ඔය gaming PC එක නිතරම update කරනවා. solutions කියපක් try කරලා බැලුවා එකක් වත් හරි ගියේ නෑ. අන්තිමට තවත් මහස්සි ගත්තේ නෑ මම Linux වල පාවිච්චි කරන Free & Opensource tool එකක් තියනවා OBS Studio, ඒක දැම්මා. කොහොමත් Windows 10 Game Bar එකට වඩා features වැඩි. දාපු දවසේ ඉඳන් අද වෙනකං හැම දාම එක වගේ වැඩ. ඉතින් ඔහොම තමා Windows updates. හොඳට වැඩ කරන ඒවත් කෙල වෙලා යනවා.

ඔය නිසා තමයි මම Gaming වලට විතරක් වෙනම computer එකක Windows තියෙද්දී අනිත් හැම දේටම Arch Linux use කරන්නේ. Gaming වලට best OS එක Windows. NVIDIA drivers අපේ සර් වගේ "හොඳටම කරන්නේ ()" Windows වල. Linux වලට NVIDIA එකෙන් තියෙන්නේ කුඩම්මාගේ සැලකිලි. එකම card එකේ Windows වල performance වලින් 30%ක් වගේ එන්නේ Linux වල. හැබැයි AMD එහෙම නෑ කියනවා මොකද AMD වලට හොඳ updated, Free & Open Source driver එකක් තියනවා ලු Linux වලට. Windows වලට supported හැම game එකම Arch Linux (Linux) වලින් play කරන්න පුළුවන් Steam ලගේ proton implementation එක හරහා. මම Far Cry 1 එහෙමත් test කරලා බැලුවා. හොඳට වැඩ. එකම card එකේ, එකම computer එකේ Windows 10 වල Ultra graphics දාලා ගහපු මට Linux වල ගහන උනේ Medium දාලා.

ඔය හේතුව ඇරෙන්න මම Windows භාවිතයෙන් සම්පුර්ණයෙන්ම අයින් වෙන්න තිබ්බ. Gaming නිසා විතරයි එකටම වෙන් කරපු වෙනම computer එකක පාවිච්චි කරන්නේ.
