Yes, an SMPS is the best option for power. I didn't suggest it to him because he tends to change routers quite often. He doesn't keep the same router running in one place for a long time.

I got one from Tronic.lk a while ago. These braded SMPS are relatively expensive. I got 12V, 30A one for about 14000.00 LKR. I think you can buy MeanWell compact 12v 1A ones from Aliexpress, not sure about the availability in Sri Lanka.
