Machan if u r using windows 7 RTM 7600.16385 bulid u wont get any of those problems.Am also using skype on windows7 32bit without a problem.
In this case u cn try Compatibility method.
Go to the properties of that particular app.
Click "compatibility"
Click "Change settings for all users" itz located in bottom of the window.
Select the Compatibility mode u prefer
Select check box locate under the privilege level to run the app as administrator.....
