I’m posting this for those of you who have heard only the later versions of the song.(1985 Recording)
This one was recordedin London in 1985 (If my memory is correct) where Amaradeva was invited by the Sinhala Society for a music show.
Musical Team – Wijayarathna Ranathunga (Tabla), D. D. Gunasena (Violin), Rohana Weerasinghe (Sitar – yeah, he can play damn near anything plus many people don’t know that he’s a Grade A Singer). I think they also picked up a lady to give a hand with the instrument ‘Thambura’. Amaradeva himself played the ‘Sarpina’.
