It's Oman, I don't think vehicles with lesser safety ratings are even sold around there except for vintage cars. Cars with top-tier safety ratings are dirt cheap there anyway, perps running this business have no shortage of moolah. SUVs that are able to navigate through deserts are not some cheap ass Indian Boleros.

Other than that its sheer luck like you said. But if I pushed to take life on that time, my adrenaline rush would have done it. Not only me but also Shehara would do it too. There was no going back in that time. Those crimes are punishable by law in highest which is death penalty from either country.
